BR1-12 : The Dragon and the Phoenix (Sims,2007)


"That pearl is ours!"(p.23)

This story is about Dragon Mountain and Phoenix Mountain. There were shining lake. Long long ago, a dragon lived beside a magic river. A phoenix lived inside the forest near by the river.
 
One day, they met on an is land in the river, and they found a shining pearl.  At night, the pearl shone brighter than stars. It was so bright, the Queen saw it, and she wanted to get it. That night, she got this shining pearl.
 
In the morning, the dragon and the phoenix noticed that the pearl gone away. Then, they saw it shining in the sky. They flew up to the sky and saw the Queen. The pearl fell from the sky. The pearl made a shining lake. The dragon and the phoenix lay beside it. They became the forest and, they are still there today.

BR1-11: The RUNAWAY PANCAKE(Mackinnon, Maiti)

One day, the mother make pancakes for break fast. When She toss the first pancake, the pancake jump right out of the pan, and rolled out of the door. 

The mother and hers children go running after it. The dog in his kennel when the pancake rolled past.
 
Next, a rabbit in a field see the pancake rolling past. Next, a duck on the stream see the pancake rolling past. Next, a cat in the farmyard see the pancake roll past. Next, a goat in a meadow see the pancake roll past. Next, a fox in some bushes see the pancake rolling past. Next, a pig find this pancake.

However, he is too clever to say so. Pancake is eaten by this pig.

BR1-10: Christmas around the world(Sins, Lesley, 2005)

There are a lot of Christmas in the world. People write Christmas cards, and sent. Presents are wrapped and waiting under the tree. In Germany, Christmas markets are set up for people to buy Christmas decorations. There sell Christmas cookies for people to eat while they shop, and hot spicy drinks to keep them warm. In Sweden, children leave out a bow of porridge for the Tomte, a gnome who lives under the floorboards. In Syria, children leave out hay, for the three king's youngest camel.

This story is about flying elephants. They can fly everywhere. Sometimes, the gods ride on elephants' backs. However, sometimes elephants are noisy. They break trees, and houses. There are no trees and houses. Then, gods think that they must stop them. They invented the elephants to a grand feast. The elephants eat very much,and they start to sleep. During they sleep, the gods take away their wings. The elephants can't fly.

There were a prince. He searched for princess who marry with him. He went to search with his coach and his maid. First,    he visited a witch to know how to find a real princess. He visited there, but he could not get good informations. Next, he visited two princess at random. However he could not find. Then, he give up. Turned back his castle, he find a princess. She is his maid.

Long ago, lots of people believed in wizards. Wizards lived a country. They were good ones, they helped people. A day one wizard could not use his magic. He bothered very much. 
A day, there country aimed by robbers. If the country don't give them two more bags of gold, they will take over them castle. They were very confused. Then, the wizard gathered leaves, and he magicked them. It shined gold, and they gave robbers it. The country was helped by wizard.

Essays 1-03b, My Language Learning Story and Plans

Since I was born, I got my Japanese skill. I can speak Japanese, because my parents taught me since I was a baby. I can speak Japanese, but I can’t write Japanese words well. When I was an elementary school student, I learned Hiragana, Katakana, Kanji and so on. Japanese has three words, so it is difficult to remember them. I think that Kanji is the most difficult, because there are many words, and they have a lot of similar words. I learned how to write, how to read, and how to use. They use the other way. For example, Kotowaza and Yojijyukugo. Also, they have many kinds, so it is hard to remember them. When I was a junior high school student, I learned English for the first time. At first, I knew its alphabet, some words, and sentences. For example, "Hello", "Thank you", "See you", "Apple", "Strawberry", "banana", "love", and so on. They are very easy sentences and words. I had no known about English, so it was hard for me. In particular, grammar is the most difficult for me. I did not know that English word order. I could not distinguish which is a verb, and which is an adjunct. However, I studied English, I can understand construction of English. Gradually, I can read English sentences. Also, I learned its present form, the past form, future tense. It is very useful when I speak. I had liked English, when I was a junior high school student. As same as high school, I learned English words, sentences, and so on. When I was a first year student in KGU, I took German. I studied two languages were English and German. German's grammar is different with English and Japanese. Some substance , for example, newspaper, it has personal pronoun. German's all substance has each personal pronoun, so it is very hard to remember them. However, it is similar with English, how to read. Some kind of words changed how to read, but all that changed. To study German was difficult, but I could enjoy them, because I could know that I did not know. Now, I learned English everyday. However, I can’t speak, and I cannot read English sentences very first. I want to improve them before I graduated to KGU.

There was a boy whose name is Obby. He had been captured by Giant Gong and the Gungees. He had been taken to Gong's castle. He helped by Myrtle the friendly turtle, and the children set off downriver on a raft. The lift appears in the nick of time, and takes them home to safety.

"Who's been sleeping in my bed?"
There was a girl who was very naughty. The day, she told her mother "Don't go into the woods. They're full of bears." That made the girl want to go there even more. She went there,and she found a house. She went into the house, she ate food, and she slept. Then, three bear came there. This house was bear's house. The girl screamed and run away.

The day, they faced danger. Then, they dicided to go to Bremen and join the town band. At night, they gathered, and found a house. There were three men in the house, and they are robber. Four animals repulsed the robbers.

My Language Skills

Ten years ago, I was a elementary school student. I got my Japanese skill. For example, I got Japanese words, grammar, and Kanji. Kanji is very difficult for me, because it has many kind of word. Also, it is difficult how to read. There are similar words, so it is difficult for me. Also, Kotowaza is difficult. There are a lot of words, and they have a lot of meaning. 

Now, I got Japanese skill, English skill, and Germany skill. Germany skill is very little. I got English skill when I was a junior high school student for the first time. Before I learn about English, I just know very easy words. For example, banana, money,  apple, and so on. In addition, I just can speak "Hello, my name is Mayu." Since I learn English, I can understand it gradually. When I was a junior high school student, English is my favorite studying. When I was high school student, English is more difficult than junior high school. Grammar is complex and so long. I had to remember a lot of words. I had to test about English words once a week, so I always read my English words book. I could learn many words.

Ten years in the future, I want to become speaking English well. Now, I can not speak English well. I can read English grammar, and understand it. However, speaking English is very difficult. I think that I have to learn more English words and grammar. I want to go trip in abroad, and I want to chat with foreign people.
