Essay2-2b: Japanese famous group.

There are a lot of groups in the music world. In particular, Exile is well known by a lot of people the present day in Japan. Exile is dance and vocal group. Now, they have four terms of history.

Early year

In 2001, Hiro, Matsu, Makidai who were member of dance team that name was “J Soul Brothers”. They started searching vocalist of the group.

In 2001, they invited Shun and Atsushi as vocal.

The name of their first single CD is “Your eyes only ~Aimaina Bokuno Rinkaku~”.

Two years later, they released the second album called “Styles of Beyond” and won the first place of album chart for the first time. ‘Song for you’ was so popular among those who loved Shun.

In that year, they also appeared on Kohaku Utagassen, a famous TV program broadcasted in every December 31 for the first time and sang ‘Choo Choo Train’, cover of Zoo’s song. Hiro was a member of Zoo! The dance in the intro is so famous that many people should have copied it. The next year, they launched the 15th single CD called “real world” and at last won the first place of single chart for the first time. The song was used on the TV show of professional baseball league. In 2005, they released the best album, “Perfect Best” and it passed the one million mark. It’s consisted in two CDs and a DVD; most single songs are put in the first CD, other songs are put in the second one, and most promotion videos are put in the DVD. Though they were going so strong, Shun regrettably dropped out of the group because of his eye’s hurt and starting his solo work in 2006. They appeared on Music Station and sang a new song, ‘YES!’ and their first single song as the final stage.

Middle years

In 2006, Akira of RATHER UNIQUE joined Exile. He is a dancer, and succeeds in dance club those days. 

When Makidai and Matsu who are early member went to a club, they saw Akira by chance and they an act of speaking to Akira. Then, Akira became a member of Exile, and he flourish as an Exile’s dance performer. 

Also, this year, “EXILE VOCAL  BATTLE AUDITION~ASIAN DREAM~” was took place in Nippon Budokan. This was an audition to decide an Exile’s main vocal. Ten thousand people joined this audition. Of cause, Takahiro who is Exile’s present vocal was joined it. The winner in this audition was Takahiro. His skill as a singer, character, looks, and style was evaluated. This year became an important year for Exile and a lot of fan. 

Then, middle years Exile started in 2006. 

In 2007, they released 23rd single that name is “道”. This is a graduate song, and very famous for students. It often uses a graduation ceremony in a lot of school. In addition, this song became a song which ranked top of new song. Same year, Exile took place a live which name is “EXILE EVOLUTION 〜SUMMER TIME LOVE〜”. This was a first live with seven members, so a lot of people came this live. Okaxile was appearance this live for the first time. Takashi Okamura who is a comedian and belong to ninety nine. Ninety nine is a name of comedian group. He has a his own program which name is Mechaike. Mechaike is a famous variety TV program. “EXILE EVOLUTION 〜SUMMER TIME LOVE〜”and Mechaile collaborate in this live, and made a Okaxile. Okaxile is continue from now on. December in 2007, Exile released 6th album which name is “EXILE LOVE”. Also, this album got a top of ranking. In 2008, they hold a dome tour for the first time. This live was named “EXILE PERFECT LIVE 2008” This live triggered that Exile started a dome tour. In addition, this live was a last live with seven members. 

In 2008, they released 28th single “Ti Amo”. This is a love song, and became a famous song. “Ti Amo” got a the 50th record grand prix in Japan. This was a first time for Exile to get a record prize. In 2009, Exile had a own TV program which name was “EXILE GENERATION”. This TV program was known among their fans. Exile’s middle year became a very important year.

late years

In 2009, Kenchi, Keiji, Tetsuya, Nesmith, Shokichi, Naoto and Naoki joined to Exile from Second J Seoul Brothers. In this year, Exile got the second Japan Record Award for 30th single “Someday.” The same year, the Nation festival to celebrate His Majesty the Emperor enthronement of twenty years was held and they celebrated to offered the celebration music “太陽の国.” 

In next year, they held the first stadium tour “Fantasy” and it mobilized about 1.1 million people. They got the third Japan Record Award for 35th single “I Wish For You” in this year. In 2011, they released 37th single “Rising Sun/いつかきっと…” as the 10th anniversary memorial and reconstruction support song for Great East Japan Earthquake. 

In 2012, they released the album “Exile Japan/Solo” and it won the first of ranking. And this album made the first place consecutive for ten years. This record was the first for male group artist. And it got a top of ranking for three weeks straight, what’s more this record was also first for them. In 2013, “Exile Pride 〜こんな世界を愛するため〜” was released and it recorded million sales for the first time for single. This song also got the Japan Record Award.  

The announcement that recruiting of new performer was published and the title was “Exile Performer Battle Audition.” They performed on the NHK year-end grand song festival this year and this stage was last stage for Hiro, the leader of Exile. He announced he had a plan to retire performer of Exile by this year on April. And this third period ended as Hiro retied performer.

They did five tour, released fourteen singles, and released five live DVDs in this third period. (1006 word)

We’re going to tell you about Exile. They have been so popular for more than a decade that any Japanese people should know them regardless of their interests. They liberally have four periods, so we’ll compare three of them except the latest one that started this year.

early years

Essay 2-01b: How to Spend in The Room

Many people like their own rooms very much. They have used their room, since they were junior high school students.

 Their room’s direction is north, so it seems that there are very cold in winter. Also, their room has moisture, so these are hot in summer. Their room is not large, but they are able to calm down, because they like small places. They like their room very much, and it is a best place for them. They are able to relax, when they in their room.

 When they always sleep on their bed alone. They are able to do other thing without sleep in there. For example, they read a book, use their cell phone, and sometimes use a computer and so on. Sometimes, they read a novel, and fashion magazines. When they read it concentrate, they are able to finish read them soon. When they can focus on reading, because there are able to relax. When they use their cell phone, they often send a message for their friends. They often use LINE, and chatting with friends about a lot of things for a long time. Also, they often talk with friends by their cell phone. When they had noticed, time have gone. If they are in their room alone, I don’t have to care about other person, so they can talk for a long time. They always play the game, and look over Twitter by cell phone before they sleep.

 On the desk, they always make up their face. Of cause, they use it for study. However, they don’t use the desk better than before. The reason is that since they became a university student, they always go to the library in KGU. In particular, they became a second year student, it is need to use a computer for their homework. The library has a lot of computers, and they are able to use them any day. They like study in the library better than their room, because they are able to study more concentrate. 

Recently, a desk in their room which becomes a dresser. Their room has not a sofa, so they always sit down on the desk chair. They have used this desk, when they were an elementary school student. They use it fourteen years!! They haven’t thought change their desk, and they don’t want to change. Their desk has a lot of memories for fourteen years. It is very precious for them. 

Also, the desk is too heavy, because the desk is able to put away a lot of things in it. If they think that they want to move the desk, maybe they can’t move it alone. If they want to redecorate a room, it is very hard for them.

 What’s more, they have a lot of clothes, so they can’t put it in their closet recently. They have to buy a new closet or they have to throw away some clothes. They want to clear their room soon, and make their room more comfortable.

Essay 2-01a How to spend in my room

My favorite place is my room. I have used this room, since I was a junior high school student. This room’s direction is north, so there is very cold in winter. On the desk, I always make up. Of cause, I use it for study. However, I became a university student, I always go to the library in KGU to study. There is able to use a computer and desk, so I like study in the library better than my room.

Essay 1-02b Combined Draft Essays abut University life

In university, they have many friends and they spend time in university together. For example, they eat lunch, study in the library, and go to class together. 

There are a variety of useful facilities at KGU. Diligent students here come to building No.14 and go to the 4th floor. Then they use the computers.　 

They use the computers to learn something, finish their reports, or just kill time for free! There is a receptionist's office by the elevators and the students who want to borrow something come there. They have the website and this is the link to it. http://www.ecc.kumagaku.ac.jp/ Students who major in English and are sophomores often borrow headsets to listen to and speak English because they have a lot of hard assignments. It usually runs from 9 a.m. to 9:50 p.m., opening times on weekdays and from 9 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. on Saturdays. Unfortunately, it is closed on Sunday. There are a lot of Windows computers and some Mac computers. Of course, students in KGU can print out some documents and borrow laptop computers. 

Recently, an East Asian cafe opened on the 2nd floor on building No.14. There are a lot of drinks and sweets, and the students can study calmly there! Though many of the students may have been there yet, they should go there once. There are a lot of menus. For example, coffee, tea, juice, cake and so on. There supply to them fair trade products. There runs from 10 a.m. to 14:30 p.m. They can study a lot at building No. 14. 

This year, English Department students have a lot of homework. They always do English Central at home. There family may think strange because they always speak to computers. That is speaking class' homework, but they also have listening, writing and reading class' homework, too. They must blogging, typing, listening, listening and write dictation every week. Compare with last year, they have more homework, but it is good for growing English skill. Actually, some students think their own English is getting better than last year. But there are some students who is not good at speaking. When they want to say something in English though, they need a little time to translate to English in their brain. They'll study more to improve this in university. They may want to try more study with their friends and teachers. 

They have to take four English classes. 

On Monday, they have reading and speaking class.　Teacher of reading class is Mr. K. They study grammar, and world news. Last class, they studied about conjunction. For example, how to use “and”. They often use this word when they write any sentence, so this class is very important for them. The homework of this class is to read English newspaper, and to find titles that are matched with five themes. It is very difficult, because there are a lot of titles. Also, there has a lot of words which is they do not know. They use them a dictionary, and compare with them to match with theme. The other class is speaking class. Teacher of speaking is Mr. T. Last class, they asked their classmates a lot of things. For example, “Did you go to a restaurant recently?” “Do you have your cell phone?” “Have you watched any cinema recently?”. Then, they could find about other students.

Next, this class, they are going to examine about part-time job. They asked one hundred students in KGU, and they have to presentation about this result. They have to think about a lot of questions for students. It is very difficult to ask questions for one hundred students, but they will do their best. 

On Tuesday, they have a listening class. Teacher of listening is Mr. W. They study British English in this class. They think that British English is more difficult than American English. These accents are very different, so it is hard for them to listen to them. 

On Wednesday, they have Writing class. Teacher of writing is Mr. B. This class’s homework is Book review, Blog, and Typing. They do them every week. Writing English is difficult, but they can write a long English sentence better than last year. They think that they want to write more long English sentences.
